Lea Hurst

This immersive virtual 360° tour offers unprecedented access to all key rooms inside the magnificent house as well as the grounds which Florence Nightingale, the 'mother of modern nursing', regularly visited until her death, aged 90, in 1910. Seasonal pictures demonstrate the timeless beauty of Derbyshire.

An original tour was created by the University of Nottingham as part of a £830,000 research project. Professor Paul Crawford of the University of Nottingham's School of Health Sciences led the project alongside Dr Anna Greenwood in the Department of History. Professor Crawford said: "For the first time ever, visitors to our project website were able to see inside Florence Nightingale's country home in Derbyshire. This updated version has been created by the Friends of the Florence Nightingale Museum". The Florence Nightingale Museum is located in London where more of Nightingale’s life and nursing history is celebrated. The Friends of the Florence Nightingale hope you enjoy your tour of Lea Hurst.
